Italy D Type Elective Residency (Residenza Elettiva - Passive Income/Retirement) Program enables non-EU individuals, along with their dependent family members, to obtain the right to reside in Italy and the right to travel within the Schengen Zone.
You may benefit from Elective Residency (Residenza Elettiva) Program without making an investment.
In this visa option; applicants are required to demonstrate sufficient financial capacities to maintain themselves and their dependents. The minimum funds required are as below:
1) Single applicant: 32.000 EURO
2) Applicant and spouse: 28.000 EURO
3) Any additional dependents: Minimum funds + 20% (For each dependent)
These amounts are required to be present in applicants` personal bank accounts at the application stage.
CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENTS
Applications who reside in Italy for a period of 5 years have right to apply for Italy permanent residence permit and of 10 years have right to apply for citizenship along with their dependent family members.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Applicants and their dependents must have no criminal record.
Permit holders are required to reside in Italy for minimum 183 days in a year.
