Italy D Type Digital Nomad (Nomade Digitale) and Remote Worker (Lavoratore da Remoto) Program enables non-EU individuals, along with their dependent family members, to obtain the right to reside in Italy, continue their remote professional activities and travel within the Schengen Zone.

In this visa option; applicants are required to demonstrate that they work remotely for employers or clients located outside Italy and possess sufficient financial resources to maintain themselves and their dependents. Applicants are also expected to qualify as Highly Qualified Workers (Lavoratori Altamente Qualificati) in their respective professional fields.
The minimum annual income requirement is approximately 28.000 EURO.
The required income may be derived from employment income, self-employment income, consultancy activities, business ownership or other remote working activities.
CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENTS
Applicants who reside in Italy for a period of 5 years have the right to apply for Italian permanent residence and, after 10 years of residence, have the right to apply for Italian citizenship along with their dependent family members.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Applicants and their dependents must have no criminal record.
Applicants must possess sufficient educational qualifications, professional credentials or relevant professional work experience in their field of activity.
Applicants are required to continue their remote working activities for employers or clients located outside Italy.
Permit holders are required to reside in Italy for a minimum of 183 days per year.
